An Autumn Day in Kirtlington

The Northern wind is playful today

forcefully

pushing the

trees back and forth…

Leaves, rusty crimson, flurry

around the dirt track ahead

and

into the hood of my duffle coat,

zipped tight to protect me

from the biting chill

that has accompanied the north wind.

The

warm glow of my porch light,

my house,

offers refuge from

the

onslaught
