Inequality

overflowed the cup of earth

from the day greed was drunk to quench the thirst,

blinded

by its memorizing glare

hypnotised, into it’s hungry lair

spirits so kind, act out of turn

along long as money in the pot does churn

the need for power, the lust for more

has divided humans

into rich and poor

not just on the scale of  a pound or two

the inequality that exist, incredible and true

sees nations with money prosper and thrive

sees nations with nothing, falter and die

families with money, to a sick child can help

their doctor will cure a simple ailment

families  without money, to a sick child must watch

a beautiful life, deteriorate,  only providing the warmth of their touch.

Justice seems to have broken and thawed

When it comes to helping humans so poor

How can we say that humans are free?

When all around exist such poverty

They say we are united, nation with nation

No evidence exists in this mist of humiliation

Could the solution to such human inequality

Be as simple as dividing the wealth equally
