Winter

Windows scorched in frost

Tress ghostly stand bare

Biting north winds fill the air

Reluctant workers deliver post

Breakfast served…egg on toast

Snow falls…children inside excitedly stare

Dreaming of snowball fights out there

In a world in which souls are lost

Joy and happiness winter does bring

Hot chocolate warming in a pan

Inviting along yearly rituals

Where Robins perching, heavenly sing

Families united making a snowman

Christmas day…so tender and spiritual
