The Trees

I saw a tree today

It lent slightly to the left

A strong gust of wind could easily topple…

Leaves stained a darkened brown

Other next to him offered colours... colours of vibrancy and

stood straight and tall

But

The rain on all... still watered

The birds in all.... nested

The artist on canvas... painted all

The farmer under all... rested his aching bones

The sun on to all... did shine

And when the wind gently blew

There they swayed rhythmically

Not one at time

But together

But together
